Thanks for the thread! :)
Could you add tags to the thread, so that it shows up under netflix, gilmore girls, alexis bleder, lauren graham? |
TFTT!! I want the season 2!! :(

Do you think there is a chance there will be another season of the reboot?
|
I added the tags :D
SOmehow I'd like anothe season.. and somehow I doN't.. I think it was a great ending.. :D |
I don't know if I want another season, especially with that ending.
|
I really enjoyed this. It was nice to see them back again. I loved the ending too. :)

I'd only want another season if they'd adjust the writing to modern times. I felt like they used the same narratives and the same jokes they used on the original show and it was outdated. |

As a R/L I have no desire of seeing him play the role of Christopher and I like Christopher. I just rather have my fabric plus when it aired I got sucked into the fandom drama on the spoiler thread and I am way to old for that lol
|
No. They basically recycled the story line of Lorelai having to raise Rory on her own. Alexis and Lauren said how empowering the ending would be and when I finished I was like: really? I thought they'd show her as a kick ass journalist and she was just lost and aimless and Rory was supposed to be really unique, focused, driven and ambitious. And I was disappointed that she was basically Logan's mistress and that Lorelai didn't really react to this. Granted, Rory is an adult now but I would have expected some sort of reaction considering how she reacted when Rory slept with a married Dean.
Yeah, Logan is basically Christopher and Jess = Luke. |
Precisely! Add all that up to the fact that there were moments where I went "No. You can't do this. This is not 2004." For example them laughing at other people's bodies etc. The show didn't age well, and it's literally from last year.
I get that they wanted to bring back all of Rory's love interests because it was a big reunion season but I hated the way it was done. For me it made no sense, Rory would never make these mistakes again and she knows what her mother went through... :sigh: RJ forever though. :gone: |
Yeah, body shaming, all of Emily's staff being foreigners who can't speak English just doesn't translate well to today.
Yeah, I expected something better, neither RL nor RJ shippers got a satisfying ending. I'm RJ forever too. :P |
Nope, it does not. :sigh:
If they had ended the last episodes before Rory's talk with her mom, it still would've been outdated and not very empowering, but I think it would've left a far less nasty taste in my mouth. :look: :high_five: Hooray! |
What were your favourite scenes? Mine were Rory/Jess talking at the newspaper and Paris reacting to seeing Tristan. Paris was probably the best part for me in general.
