Same. I don't dislike the idea of them together but I feel like the movie made it even clearer that LJ would never do anything to hurt her sister ... and since dating/having interest in Josh would do precisely that, she would never make a move when it comes to Josh. In the book, it's a little less clear.

I feel like they could have potentially worked if he wasn't her sister's ex (just a neighbour who they grew up with) and if the relationship was focused on more in the movie (which really, it was a small part of).

I like Peter/LJ a bit more but I really liked her with Josh and also Jon. lol.

The movie started with LJ and Josh so I was shipping that first and felt the movie sort of dropped the ball on them. The book was much better at giving depth to that relationship and explaining more. I still feel it was a bit swept under the rug but I am okay with it. Josh wasn't really in the books after book 1 though, so I am not sure he will even be in movie 2.

(plus I heard not great things about the actor)

Super easy and fun. I like he writing style.

I finished book 3 and I am very confused. LOL. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book and the series and there were some great moments but I felt it was a little unfinished?

Loved the stuff with the dad and their neighbor even though it was rushed. Loved Margo coming home and the scenes with the sisters. Loved Peter in book 3, they definitely redeemed him.

But I felt like things were just dropped and got no resolution. But the end of the book I was surprised to see it already ending. Or I thought there would be a book 4 or something. IDK, it was weird.

-Gen didn't even exist in the 3rd book. I didn't mind because she annoyed me but I felt that storyline was really unfinished. There was never any last scene with LJ or at least a mention about what happened to her??? Were her and Peter still friends? I think a scene where they acknowledged they weren't going to be friends again would have been a good touch, even if it had happened in season 2.

-No Josh or last Josh scenes. We got mentions but again, he just disappeared. It would have been nice to see a scene with him and Margo at least.

-LJ and Peter were arguing for most of the book and then they decided to stay together but it I just found it weird. Like, its fine not knowing if they are going to work being long distance but I was hoping to at least get their first time together or something. IDK, it felt like she wrote the 2nd and 3rd book just to please the audience but didn't put as much effort in as she did in the first book.

I liked book 1 better than the movie but I hope the 2nd movie does a better job. Is it only covering book 2 with all the Jon stuff? They could totally do a movie 3 as well but I just hope they do a better job of covering all angles.

^ That's awesome. I figured as much, I contributed to a few of those rewatch numbers. But still nice to hear that.

Though I'm side-eyeing the fact that Kissing Booth beat it since I've heard that the movie is bad and has awful messages, etc.

Since the movie covered part of book 2, I'm guessing that they'll do a sequel and that's it. But who knows, they could find another storyline in between all the , I feel like they need to add in something new to give the second movie more substance.

i kinda liked the kissing booth... but i can admit it was bad.

i thought it was better than the freaking sierra burgess one, at least in storyline...
