The other shows were connected from the start, so it was always obvious crossovers would happen but it's different with BL. The Pilot was shot for FOX initially but they didn't pick it up, it's most likely the reason it's so different from the other superhero shows on The CW. They also film in Atlanta, the other shows film in Canada.
And yeah, not everybody needs to hook up, it's unecessary, not something needed to move the plot forward. __________________
