I like Hunter as Peeta but I think he might be a bit old, especially since Peeta's meant to be 16.

It'd actually probably be best to cast people who are at least 18. Child labor laws and all that. So I do like Hunter as Peeta. I used him in this video, but I don't really have a dream cast in mind at all. I'm pretty much pulling for unknowns to be cast.

I don't really, but a lot of people are pulling for Sam Mendes, and I like him, so I'd be happy with him.

I'm not sure yet. I only know of David Slade because he directed Eclipse and I kind of don't want him directing HG as it would be compared too much.

Wow, I'd love for Sam Mendes to direct the movie! I've seen quite a few of his movies, and I've loved them all. He makes beautiful movies, and I'd totally trust the Hunger Games in his hands.

THG is going to be compared with Twilight regardless of who directs it. Just like Percy Jackson and Harry Potter has been. I am sure depending on when The Forest of Hands and Teeth and TMI became movies they will be compared with Twilight as well. Yes it does get annoying, but it might be due to Twilight's popularity that THG is being made into a movie. They both have a female protagonist. They both appeal to a teen and older demographic. They both have romance and action. Twilight has more romance and THG has more action. I wouldn't be surprise if they have a team Peeta and team Gale. They will use the to appeal to the female demographic and the action to appeal to the male demographic. THG appeals more to a male demographic than Twilight does.

David Slade also directed Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night. I actually want him to direct it. I loved Hard Candy. It was a very dark psychological thriller. 30 Days of Night was good for gore but not much else it made me laugh more than scared me, but that probably doesn't matter since THG will be PG-13. IMO Eclipse was the best of the Twilight movies so far.
