Pia, I love that gif. I know what you mean, I don't learn my lesson about that either.

The beach is at the end of the road and I walk past on my way to Lidl, the nearest supermarket to me. I can go there and nearby to my allotment during one journey so that is not too bad. I don't feel like I'm being watched. Everyone seems to be taking precautions. I did a "2 metre dance" with a woman near the chips. We had to kind of sidestep each other to make sure we kept apart.

HAHA on the 2 meter dance. Over here whenever I go for an early jog, everytime I see someone in-front of me, I go the other side so as not to pass by the person. It's all understood here although it feels weird to jog with a mask.

People seem to be pretty cautious when I go out too. For the most part. And there's going to be big storms this weekend which should keep people inside.
I don't have a mask. They're sold out everywhere.

I took apart my old puzzle and am about to start a new one. I'm worried. This ones has a lot more pieces in is 75% landscape. And the pieces are tiny.

Ohh I can only imagine how jogging with a mask feels like I get all out of breath using them at work... just thinking about exercising with them seems awful

Pia, my mom gave me a face mask back in January when the volcano erupted so I have about 3 here that I'm rationing. I heard front liners can only use them for 8 hours and then dispose. Si is this true?

Good luck with the puzzle. I like to do landscape puzzles but they seem very tough.

Si, politicians absolutely suck. We have one senator here who violated quarantine protocol and accompanied his pregnant wife to the hospital. He was tested positive for the virus (with mild symptoms and his wife is also positive for the virus) and now the hospital is suing him because he knew he was positive and still went to the hospital. Everyone's angry as he looks to be a super spreader and we want him to resign from his post. How stupid can he be?

I'm glad you're family's doing well, Si.

Some of our politicians have the disease. They weren't social distancing. I noticed that they were on tv close to each other. They have been working very hard but I wish they would have done their jobs further apart from each other.

Pia, good luck with that puzzle. I don't envy you doing that one.

There are pretty much no masks here. There's a shortage. Even for health care workers. The last convention I went to, the convention center is being converted into a makeshift hospital. I can't even remember the last time I wore one. Maybe in labs when I was a teenager?

I'm not upset with politicians so much. I've actually been impressed with the officials in my area. I've been more annoyed with the CEOs/billionaires. Like the CEO of Amazon claiming he can't get masks for his delivery drivers. Or a grocery store chain (owned by Amazon), asking its employees to donate their paid leave to sick employees.

I didn't do much with my puzzle so far. I got sucked into a "This Is Us" marathon. I'm almost finished the latest season. I haven't binged in so long.

Lindsay, if we're talking those normal surgical masks then the best in a hospital is to discard them every 4 hours but in situations sometimes we can use them for like 8-12 hours (but definitely not ideal)
If it is one of those masks with valves than you can use it for one day, leave it in a place that has sunlight and is well aired and in 48 hours you can re-use it.

There is a shortage of masks here too, Pia I know a lot of tattoo parlors and aesthetic clinics that have donated their masks to hospitals and clinics, but still it's not enough.

Here some politician's speeches are misleading as yeah the virus has not a super high mortality rate, but that is when patients have proper medical care. Here most towns don't even have hospitals, let alone ventilators if necessary. I can say for town that we have 80,000 of population and have no real hospital and only 5 ventilators. If there is a big spread here, it's going to be chaotic. that worries me. I'm keeping my folks and the family all in quarantine.

No-one should have to donate their paid leave to anyone. People are staying home to save lives. I don't see how taking their money is going to make them comply with staying home.
