Ah thanks. I should recommend that to my mom but she's only into 1+ years with her gardening.

So I got the go signal to go to work every once in a while but I shouldn't stay long. Plus with our curfew, I'm supposed to be home by 9 pm. I doubt these measures will help curb the infection rates here but it's law and we have to abide by it.

I'm glad you got to relax, for the reasons Lindsay said.

Lindsay, I'm so sorry about what's happening. We have the vaccine, but we also have a so-so rollout, a lot of anti maskers, queue jumpers, people who are refusing to get the vaccine (including an alarming number of healthcare workers and military personnel), and a lot of stupid politicians who are opening up way too much and way too fast. And there are areas that never shut down to begin with.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. It's cold here so I stayed in. It's even supposed to snow today.

A lot of politicians here who aren't infected before now have Covid. While we're not really back into a strict lockdown, everything is open (except cinemas, schools and large gatherings). My mom doesn't want to go out again and I was ordered by my employer to work from home but I'm at my wit's end staying home and I need the normalcy of an office to feel like I am working. We're begging for vaccines at this point and rich countries have donated but right now it's a waiting game for us.

I feel like everytime I post something about Covid, my comment becomes outdated like 2 hours later. We still have most of the issues I posted about, but the new administration's plans (the national level) have kicked in and things are going in a better direction.

I hope the onion planting went well, Julie. That sounds cool. I love onions, which sounds weird, but do.

Lindsay, I understand the need for normalcy. Personally, I've been feeling useless lately, like I have nothing to contribute to society.

Pia, I'm glad things are better there and that's good. I feel like over here we're back to where we started a year ago and I feel hopeless. And I think what you're feeling is a valid feeling especially lately. A lot of us are feeling this way.

Lindsay It's gotten better here, but it's not over and we Americans are very good at being complacent. From what I see, your country is not alone. A lot of places, even ones with vaccines, are getting surges.

It was a cloudy today but I hope it's quite warm and sunny tomorrow so I can go to my allotment. I have just bought some brassicas to plant.

It rained here yesterday which was much needed because it's hot and humid. But today it's back to hot & humid again. Today it's 31C/88F. Last Tuesday we reached 34C/93.2F. And that's not even peak of summer yet.

It was still cloudy today but I went to my allotment and planted Brussels sprouts and broccoli. It started to rain a tiny bit but it didn't affect my planting.

A pair of robins came to my plot and fed each other worms from where I was digging.
