I'm just popping in here for a little bit too. It's Boxing Day holiday here.

I ate a lot yesterday and I have a lot of food I haven't even started on yet. :D

I don't even know why I'm buying more food when there's still left over from Christmas but yeah.

Oddly enough, I didn't eat that much yesterday. I guess my body got used to the eating schedule I set up for myself this past month.

I did enjoy the surprise boxes and bags. But the best Christmas gift is that father is getting the Covid 19 vaccine soon. :yay: I'm very relieved about that.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Yay to your dad getting vaccinated soon. That's definitely the best Christmas gift.

It really is. And my mother is in the second group, so she shouldn't be waiting too long either.

As long as it doesn't go to waste, there's nothing wrong with buying more food. I'm going to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Thanks for the new thread. I love the gif.

You're welcome. :) I'm glad this year is over. We only had 3 months of "normalcy". The rest of the year was crazy. We started with a volcanic eruption here last January and ended with an earthquake a few days ago. Nothing out of the ordinary if you live on this side of the world I guess.

I'm going grocery shopping on the 30th. I need ice cream. :goof:

Sulieter 12-28-2020 05:05 AM

That's great about your dad, Pia. :yay:

Thanks for the new thread, Lindsay. Great OP. :D

I hope the earthquake wasn't too bad, Lindsay.

I am still in holiday mode. I am not back at work until next Monday. Today is a bank holiday because Boxing Day was on Saturday so we have a bank holiday to make up for Boxing Day not being on a week day. The offices where I work decided to shut down until next week. I will be paid holiday pay so that's good. :)

I have a lot of cheeses, biscuits and chocolates to eat. I have been watching a lot of Carry On films and there is skiing to watch this week. :)

TFTNT :flowers:
I LOVE the gif in the OP!! it's so accurate!!

Really happy about your dad, Pia :D And nice that your mom won't have to wait much long :D

Lindsay, sorry that you still have to endure an earthquake  As if 2020 wasn't sucking enough.

Guys I spent the last couple of days cleaning up my place... and I really had a bunch of useless stuffs :thud: I am super tired, but it was worth it, now I'm ready to start the year with everything organized :D

Today is my last day at work so I'm super bored right now. And by work I mean "working from home". Also, I'll be scarce starting tomorrow until Friday. Then will spend the weekend with family before I go back to work on Monday. :(

Julie, Boxing Day means there's a sale right? We have calendars here that says it's Boxing Day but we don't "celebrate" it. So I don't really know what it is. Yum, cheese, biscuits & chocolates are all good.

Si, nice that you did general cleaning. That can be pretty tiring for sure. I was also planning to do that but I just don't have the energy and I'm just really lazy.

Sulieter 12-29-2020 10:24 AM

Boxing Day comes from a time when rich people would box up gifts for the poor. Servants would be given the day off work. Nowadays, it is a public holiday so if the day lands on a weekend, the following Monday is a public holiday.

Traditionally, certain shops are open on Boxing Day and have sales.

It's good that you cleaned, Si. :D

I was planning to clean too, Lindsay. But there was skiing on tv and I had to do some art for the Fan Art board because the deadline is the end of December. Now I am cooking pasta and I have more skiing to watch so I haven't got time to clean.

Si_Crazy 12-29-2020 08:36 PM

Lindsay, enjoy your time with the family, and the few days off work :D

Julie I have been slacking on the fan arts so much  I really need to work on them quickly!!

I'm so happy that I did the cleaning... I am tired as hell, but things are so neat now :D

L i N d $ @ y 12-29-2020 09:53 PM

Julie, HAHA! We can always do it next month or anytime next year.

Si, ugh, I'm so jealous. I only re-arranged some stuff during the height of lockdowns here but I haven't really cleaned. :sigh:

Just in case I'm not here tomorrow (or the following days), Happy New Year to you all! I wish you all good health, happiness and love. :D

Sulieter 12-30-2020 11:55 AM

I have left my December icons a bit late but I am determined to finish them by tomorrow. :D

Yes, Lindsay. Cleaning will wait. :D

I hope everyone has a great New Year.

wanderer78 12-31-2020 10:26 AM

Si, good for you for getting all that organizing done. I'm like Lindsay, I've been doing some of that stuff, but incrementally. And I have no excuse.

Julie, thanks for the explanation of Boxing Day. I knew of it, but not the origins. And I always thought it was solely a Canadian holiday for some reason. :embarrassment:

Si_Crazy 12-31-2020 03:51 PM

Hope you guys have a Happy New Year! Hopefully things will only get better and better for all of us

There's always time for cleaning  :D Unfortunally that's something that will always be there, no matter how long we stall to do it :pout:

Julie I LOVE your set in the FA board!! Beautiful icons!!

wanderer78 01-01-2021 04:29 PM

I hope everyone is having a great 2021 so far! ;)

Si_Crazy 01-01-2021 04:53 PM

^ Right back at you, Pia

Mine is going well so far :D
