My mum did a similar thing. When I was little like 13 or something, a male friend of mine came out, and his mum told him not to tell his father cause it would kill him. So my mum said to me if I ever needed to come out I wouldn't even have to bother, just be exactly like I would if I was bringing a boy home.

So that what I did. My first real girlfriend stayed over and my mum was like shall I make her breakfast, do you need me to get rid of her.

Your mum sounds awesome. It's definitely a generational thing but i'd like to think at some point it'll just be the and people dont think or look at your strange. One day it'll change, I have faith.

2 steps forward and 5 steps backwards? I still dont understand why it's even such a big deal. There's literally 1000's of more pressing problems in this world than loving someone of the same gender.

Right. And why are straight people so concerned with gay people.

I know right? because they envy them and so they're fascinated by every little detail

Yeah, equal marriage rights are only available in about 25 countries, that's not a lot and a lot of so-called progressive countries have elected people who are anti-LGBT and pose a real threat to the community.

Poland's PM recently said they wouldn't work on legalizing civil partnerships, no surprise there though. This country is so backwards when it comes to social issues.
