Happy we agree on that.

I loved Matt/Heather most HOWEVER, when I re-watch I love Matt/Sarah a bit more. I think Kevin/Lucy I loved most.

In the later season though, Martin/Ruthie were the main pairing even if they never happened.

I agree.

Ruthie stayed by Martin side through all of Season 10 even when I felt he really didn't deserve it.

I don't think Martin approved of ANYONE who Ruthie dated.

yeah he was so jealous of everyone around her lol! he loved her

lucy/kevin was a good pair but kinda boring and lucy sometimes got on my nerve lol!!! and kevin was like not realistic at all, i don't know a man like that

Mac saw Martin feelings before he did.

He was so against Mac dating Ruthie and it was because of his own jealousy that he didn't even know himself.

I loved when Ruthie's then boyfriend Vincent told Ruthie IN FRONT of Martin and Mac that he doesn't think that either of them view her as a sister and Ruthie said she knows, and Mac and Martin were like WTF? lolol

It seems Ruthie was in a love square at the end of season 9.

Mac feelings for Ruthie because he found out about her crush. Martin growing feelings for Ruthie, known to everyone but himself and the boyfriend Vincent. lol

Well she didn't at first. She grew to have a crush on him. I think the fans realize Ruthie crush in the episode when Lucy had her daughter Savannah.
Martin talked about how one day he'd love to be in a family with a lot of brothers and sisters and in the background Ruthie said maybe one day he will be. Expressing that one day she might be the person he marries.

She was pretty good at hiding her feelings for the most point though but when she loved Martin, she REALLY did. It was really Ruthie's first big crush and love since she probably never felt feelings that intense before.

but they had quite an age difference, didn't they? Ruthie was about 15?

Yes, and I think it was only 2 years apart, Martin was 17.... and Ruthie was 15 and they both went to high school together.

However, when they met it was probably more significant since Ruthie was 14, and Martin was 16... so Martin was in High School and Ruthie wasn't

In Season 11 though, that age difference didn't look bad, with 17-19.
If they made it to season 12, it would've been so much better! 18 & 20. lol

In real life it's a 2 year gap as well. I just think Ruthie looked so young to the fans a lot of the time because we saw her when she was like 5 years old on the show?

Fans didn't care though, Season 9-11, they were the MOST popular pairing of the series even though they weren't together.

I expected the agedifference to be much more.. it's been quit a while I watched the show.. and you are right, Ruthie looked way younger ..

If you see the people who Ruthie dated, you'll see why the fans didn't care.

She was trying to date older to show Martin she can date people older.

She did a lot for her love. lol Even if he was oblivious.

Look at how dude the Jack guy looked?

Looked like he can be a cold older step father over a boyfriend. lol ... or cool uncle. lol She ooked way better with Martin .lol

the age gap in the end was like nothing except from martin stupid decisions!

i wish he had grown a pair and kiss her and tell her he loved her all along!

Same, it would've been awesome if the whole last season was spent of them being together someway.

I still feel if we got a season 12, that definitely would've happened but this time it would've been Martin fighting for Ruthie.

Cause remember they did share some off screen kisses.

Ana he admitted how he felt about her?

He said they could be great together.

So I feel it was set up for a season 12 of Martin finally fighting for Ruthie.
