I have a feeling that a lot of the recent "is Jonathan gonna be the one to die?" speculation is more to do with the Team Steve / Team Jonathan conflict in the fandom than anything based on actual hints. I mean, there are seriously people on tumblr who believe that Steve is entitled to Nancy if Jonathan's out of the picture.

As if Nancy's a table tennis ball who gets bounced back and forth between two guys... That's what some of the fandom have reduced her to, apparently.

Not gonna lie, the Season 3 poster bothered me for 2 reasons:

1) There's too much going on (it literally looks packed and I can't stand overuse of photoshop to fit large casts together)
2) THE BYERS ARE BASICALLY INVISIBLE.

Seriously, compare the Season 1 and 3 posters and it's unbelievable. You need a microscope to see Jonathan, Will is "blink and you'd miss it" and the writers no longer care about Joyce because they apparently have Steve to fill in the maternal role for the kids.

Sorry, I want to be positive, but the poster reduced my hope.

the focus is usually on the little kids but no one could ever deny how important the supporting cast is

there is no show without them and the main characters couldn't make it either. they might not get as much spotlight but I'm sure they won't be overlooked

^ I haven't seen the poster, but I think that's a good theory/interpretation.

Let's wait and see what's in store for the Byers family before we get disappointed about the amount of focus on them.

but the Stranger Things posters have so far been pretty accurate in terms of summarizing character focus in each season. I mean, didn't the second season poster make Steve much bigger than Jancy too? And that pretty much reflected their limited screen time in that season compared to his.

Maybe you're right and I'm overthinking things. Then again, it's hard not to, when the show has been off air for so long.

I still can't help but think that Billy will get more screen time than the Byers with his stupid seduction storyline.
