Overall numbers were up a tiny bit but that demo is down. I'm glad ABC seems to be giving a chance though.

It seemed like this was a favorite episode of the 3 so far, though! Let's hope because of that, people want to keep watching!

I really hope ABC does keep giving it a chance and hopefully the viewers grow. Sadly though Conviction seems to have a lot working against it.

Tom Bergeron keeps pimping it at the end of DWTS every week. I guess that hasn't been enough to keep people stay tuned.

Don't know if this is the right thread to post this, but apparently it doesn't look good for "Conviction". I'm not surprised - though I haven't watched this show I somehow knew it wouldn't be very successful because there are too many similar shows on TV at the moment. And even a big name like Hayley's can't make up the poor ratings. ABC should have kept "Agent Carter" - even though their ratings were not phenomenal I guess the show was still much more successful than "Conviction"... morningnewsusa.com Conviction' Cancelled? Season 1 Poor Ratings, Legal Drama Boring? Star Hayley Atwell has often been praised for her work in Marvel’s Agent Carter although the show was cancelled as it drew low ratings. She now has a new TV show, “Conviction,” on ABC. It has taken over the old time slot of “Castle.” The question that has come up is whether the TV show is worth watching? Will it be cancelled or will the network keep it? With such a question, this means the show is not doing well. “Conviction” was launched on 3rd October and in the 18-49 demographic it pulled a 0.92 rating with 5.17 million viewers. The start of the show was disappointing. “Conviction” is a legal drama series which talks about what happens when Hayes Morrison, played by Hayley Atwell, an attorney and the daughter of a previous President, is “blackmailed” to join the Conviction Integrity Unit. It is a department of the NYC, that re-examines cases when a wrongful conviction is suspected. Daniel Franzese, Shawn Ashmore, Eddie Cahill ,Merrin Dungey, Manny Montana and Emily Kinney comprise the rest of the cast. The second episode of the show had a more than 15% fall as it registered 0.78 rating with 4.23 million viewers. According to Tv Series Finale, ratings for “Conviction” have been awful, although it’s very early in the season to really conclude anything. With 4.7 million viewers and 0.85 rating in the demo, it is the lowest rated series in the network. ‘Castle’ which got cancelled, averaged in its demo a 1.08 rating with 6.20 million viewers last year. The legal drama, “Conviction,” seems to be on thin ice, and may be cancelled and even won’t be allowed to complete the 13 episodes, if the numbers don’t have quick improvement. Source
