Here is a brief update from last week's events.
First of all in Astana, Kazakhstan; Nole defeated Stefanos Tsitsapas to win the Astana Open. Great win for Nole, who captured his second straight title.  In Tokyo, Taylor Fritz defeated Frances Tiafoe 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2) to win the Japan Open. Also Barbora Krejcikova upset top ranked Iga Swiatek 5-7, 7-6 (4), 6-3 to win the Agel Open and Elise Mertens won the Jasmin Open Monastir. So that's the latest update from the tour. This week's tournaments, which are in progress; are the San Diego Open, the Unicredit Firenze Open in Florence, Italy, the Gijon Open and the Transylvania Open. __________________

I forgot to mention some big off the court news, which is Rafa is now a new father after Xisca gave birth to a baby boy almost a week ago. Congrats to Rafa, Xisca and their family on the new addition. __________________

First of all, I apologize for not doing the updates lately. I have been busy with other stuff. However I want to redeem myself by giving the latest update from the tour.
First of all in last week's events; Daniil Medvedev won the Erste Bank Open, Felix Auger-Aliassime won the Swiss Indoors Basel and Elisabetta Cocciaretto won the Abierto Tampico. Also in the events from the previous two weeks; Felix Auger-Aliassime won the European Open, Holger Rune won the Stockholm Open, Lorenzo Musetti won the Tennis Napoli Cup, Andrey Rublev won the Gijon Open, Felix Auger-Aliassime won the UniCredit Firenze Open, Jessica Pegula won the Guadalajara Open Akron, Maryna Zanevska won the Open Capfinances and Rouen Metropole won the Transylvania Open. That's an update from the recent events. This week's events, which are in progress, are the Rolex Paris Masters, the WTA Finals and the Dow Tennis Classic. Meanwhile. I'm sure everyone are very aware by now of the big news regarding Simona Halep failing a drug test at the U.S. Open. The drug in question is roxadustat, which is a blood-booster and stimulates the production of red blood cells, similar to Erythropoietin or EPO, which came into prominence during the cycling drug scandal. Right now she is provisionally suspended with the investigation ongoing and could face a ban up to four years. __________________
