Welcome to the 1st thread about the swimming sport! Phelps may be the king but we've got plenty of swimming princes and princesses all over the world I wanted to begin this thread as there is already one about Michael Phelps. What did you guys think about the European swimming championship in Croatia? BTW, is there somebody who could give me the order of the country according to the number of medals. A few pics of the European Short Course Championship in Rijeka, Croatia Sanja Jovanovic  Amaury Leveaux, definitely the king of those championships  Italian team 4X50m medley  Dutch team 4X50m medley  French team 4X50m free WR  ETA: I will edit this OP when I'll get more information  .__________________

Since watching the Olympics I got to be such a swimming fan. I was hooked on watching the USA team and also the Italian team. Any news on Luca Marin or Emiliano Brembilla? Great thread by the way.

I was reading People magazine and it mentioned the 2009 World Swimming Championships. Does anyone know when they are and if they will be televised in the US?

According to Michael Phelps website the 2009 Swimming World Championships will be held in Rome, Italy (not sure on that correct date but it's sometime after the U.S. Nationals which are I believe July 7-11th.
I did find something really interesting, it will be televised. NBCOlympics.com - NBC to televise 2009 swimming world championships __________________
