I take so long to rewatch entire seasons. Lee, are you still watching them?

Thread question to move things along in the thread: What is the one thing you really appreciated or liked about his arc/characterisation/storylines in Season 2? And is there anything you didn't quite like about Bellamy in Season 2?

I loved that his character development from season 1 was continued in season 2. The way he risked his life to rescue or keep his people safe was admirable. He was surely scared when he went into the mines with Lincoln to infiltrate Mt Weather but he didn't let his fear take over. He continued despite being tortured. He wanted to save his friends but also wanted to spare the innocent which in the end he wasn't able to.

A favourite scene: just before he gets blindfolded in the mine, the look of uncertainty and fear in his eyes, Bob conveyed it so well.

Not sure if there was anything I disliked about him, maybe his lack of screen time? lol

Agreed on all three counts. He never hesitated to put the plan into motion though he was clearly and understandably terrified and didn't know if he would come out of it alive. He never wavered in his end goal to save his people and he came through for them.

Bob played that moment SO well, that sharp inhalation of breath as the blindfold was placed on him ... it just conveyed his fear very well.

I also didn't dislike anything apart from his lack of screentime too. His arc in Season 2 was pretty flawless.

I love that moment too, he was crazy reckless but also very brave.

I'll put up mine tomorrow, too tired tonight.

It is.

I think my favourite thing about Bellamy in Season 2 is that he learned that there's certain lines that cannot be crossed (as he told Finn) and that each action has consequences that sometimes cannot be erased. Like how he'll always be haunted by his role in the culling in Season 1. That arc was well done, with him worrying about Finn, that he would take it too far (and sadly, he ultimately did) and trying to do his best to keep Finn from stepping over the line. And then, also the the MW arc with him killing the guard and then meeting his son and being overcome with guilt over seeing the innocent child who he now deprived of a father ... it was portrayed well. "They're just kids." And how he tried to convince Clarke to think of ways that would spare the innocent people in MW, even if it ultimately didn't work.

Ironically, he himself forgot that lesson in Season 3 but I do still love that aspect of his characterisation in Season 2.

I love that in going to Mount Weather, he became even more of a leader. Not willing to give up on them in the beginning, defying authority in wanting to search for them.
Seeing the Blakes progressing further and him really accepting her as the warrior she was was great!

I can not think of anything I disliked

He would do anything to protect his people, his loyalty is always an admirable trait. And how he embraced Octavia's transition into a warrior too, I agree.
