I do not think it was completely un-done in season 3. Some people still see the good in him.

I still do as well but it's just frustrating to see him to do good in the second half of Season 1 and whole of Season 2 ("There's some lines you can't uncross.") but for him to forget some of those lessons himself in Season 3. Not completely undone though, I agree.

Probably. Will always be bitter that we never got to see that storyline flashed out properly and instead time was wasted on other, less important stuff.
IMO, that line about "Bellamy being seen as the true hero he is" line refers more to Bellamy risking his life to be the inside man, in hindsight now. It just delved into the idea about sometimes the enemy isn't really the enemy i.e. the people who helped him in MW (even when they didn't have to, they just wanted to do what was right) and also having to kill the guard and then meeting his son and feeling pain/regret over what he had to do. It was a great albeit morbid arc for him.   __________________

What did you guys think about Bellamy saving that random girl in 2X04/2X05? I thought it was incredibly brave and reckless at the same time. Typical Bellamy.__________________

The hat.
Bellamy was amazing in season 2, he stepped up as a leader. Risked his life to save people, even if he didn't know that. I don't think his character development is totally gone but in season 2 he wanted to save the innocent people, those he knew were not responsible for the horrible things others did. That went out of the window in season 3. I know what led to his decision - grief, feeling like he failed his people by trusting the Grounders, being partly responsible for his friends being killed - but it just felt rushed. But that discussion is probably better for the season 3 thread. Season 2 Bellamy was amazing, stepped up, was there for his friends, his people. __________________

I really liked his journey in Season 2 TBH.
Thought it was finally him coming into his own even if it seemed like he took a backseat to Clarke as a co-leader (at times). He was instrumental in the MW plan and it NEVER would have worked if he didn't suggest the plan and risked his life to go in there. And also, how he continued taking care of his people before that of course. I have so much to reply to in the Season 3 discussion thread and I'm procrastinating.  __________________
