I agree, the issues they need to address need to be theirs. And Bellamy should stand up for himself, not just for someone else.

I don’t really like Echo or Octavia anymore, honestly. I kind of wish they’d both just leave him alone.

Yeah, they need to GTFO away from him for a while. Or he just needs to get away for a while ... you'd think that he and Octavia wouldn't want to be apart anymore though after 6 years apart but here we are.

I think he's just absolutely crushed by the person she became. It makes the ending of 3x16 so much more ominous now. He saw her take the first steps down that path of darkness, but during their radio conversation in 4x13, he seemed to have so much faith in her and so much optimism that she could be a great leader. And while she's certainly become a leader, she's also basically become a cult-leader, someone who leads ruthlessly and cruelly. It's like he said in 5x06 . . . that's not his sister. The person he was hoping to reacquaint himself with on the ground doesn't exist anymore. All his hopes for her have been shattered.

The "That's not my sister." line made me sad but also makes sense since I think that it was his way of trying to disassociate her from the person he remembered her to be, six years ago ... hence explains why he's more brazen and open about voicing out his comments to her, despite it not being what she want to hear.

I agree with this. It’s easy for him to think of her as not his sister, but I think deep down, he knows that isn’t true.

There is a difference between what Octavia wants to hear and what she needs to hear, so I’m all for Bellamy dropping some truth bombs on her.

I feel some truth bombs coming

One thing I have noticed though with the Blakes:

Season 1: Reunited and it feels so good. Protective Bellamy activated.
Season 2: SIBLING GOALS.
Season 3: tensions arise, and then 3x11
Season 4: Octavia hates Bellamy
Season 5: Both of them are at loggerheads with EACH OTHER.

So basically their relationship has become progressively worse season by season...

Sounds about right, Becks. Well it got better towards the end of season 4 but unfortunately, we only got to see a bit of that.

I think season 2 was really their only season where their relationship was pretty healthy. Season 1 saw Bellamy being too overbearing, but he did learn to let her go a bit.
