I had the feeling he is still very much involved into this entire franchise, but maybe also because he was directing. I have no idea, hard to tell.

From what I got they roughly filmed half and just waiting to complete the rest. They also mentioned again that the eps are like mini movies for each character. This is all we can say at this point.
