for my money, "Fear the Walking Dead" is the best zombie show on television.

the characters in FTWD are often more three-dimensional and compelling than their counterparts on the flagship show. not being based on a comic series, they're not bound by the medium's character tropes, the way that Rick Grimes and company always seem so inescapably tethered.

Hopefully we see more of the Proctor throughout the next season as he did mention he had been expanding his operations even before the end of the world.

I also hope we will see the commonwealth on ftwd/twd. It's a modern bigger city that survived the apocalypse and has modern technology and over 50k soldiers. They may one day be the chance to find a cure.

btw I like Alicia's new jacket with wings on the back, i guess Proctor John must have gave that to her because the first time we see her wearing it is when she's getting off the boat with him. the wings fit in with the religious theme that shows up often in TWD universe, maybe it's a hint at the upcoming crossover with TWD - when i saw those wings, i immediately thought of Daryl's vest.

Jackets with wings are quite common among biker groups. For them it's angel's wings, but looking at how many bikers behave and think I'd rather consider them as demon's wings lol.



I enjoyed Cliff Curtis's Travis very much, but once he was gone, I can't say I missed him because so much was happening. In almost every single episode this year, something was on the line and some cast member was in major jeopardy.

I hope walker returns and kind of replaces travis.

I remember when Fear first came out, they said it wouldnt have anything to do with the main show. They just realized that they were losing all of their fans, and they did this as a desperate attempt to gain back some viewers.

i guess this is what happened : at the beginning of FTWD, there was NO real plan for any crossovers, since it seemed to be too complicated. at some point, during the season 3 of FTWD, they simply changed their mind. we probably won't know who had this idea (was it before or after Dave Erickson left the show ? or is it even related ?!).

Since the crossover has always been a (very small?) possibility, I guess I'll simply wait and see.

I'm pretty sure Dave was forced out since he never wanted a crossover. He even said in an interview after season 3 that Fear had plenty of stories to survive without a crossover.
