Old Fear: Survivors doing everything to survive, put yourself and your loved ones first, don't trust anybody. Kill or be killed.

New Fear: Delusional survivors thinking they are superheros and can help anybody. Doesn't matter if they screw you over or kill someone of your team, you have to help them. Help people or... if they refuse your help just force them to be helped anyway.

Survival, fear, not knowing what's around the corner, never being able to trust anyone, not knowing when who could die next... that was completely non existent

I don't know Z Nation, never watched just the trailer it but people comparing it to FTWD is saying a lot

The show hasn't been about that for a while, and it couldn't be more explicit about it. The last two seasons has been about the survivors learning to adjust to the new world, and trying to figure out what sort of society to create. I don't know how many times Morgan has to say it.

The writing, pacing, and lack of overall character development is really annoying

And on Z they actually kill people, sure in a funny sometimes a bit slapstick way (just like in the movie zombieland) but they're not weak.

Nation Z is amazing as I heard.

It's nice, I watched some episodes, but I wouldn't consider it amazing. But in every single way a lot better than FTWD right now.
