Also as for what impressed me the most is probably Alicia personally "taking care of" the infected inhabitants. That is a huge trauma and responsibility for anyone, especially an 18-year-old girl who just a few months ago was still dreaming about going to college and making plans.

what surprised me most was the strength she had to make quick decisions, which were tragic and involved killing people in her group. she showed real leader qualities here.
