People are wondering why Alicia doesn't suffocate but everyone else did and think it's a plot hole but I don't think it was. She probably wasn't the only one to suffocate. She was passing in and out of consciousness. There were likely others too, but the infected body on Alicia was a low-key, unintentional guts-camo that prevented the infected from noticing her right away. The people who didn't die were likely bitten by those who did.
