Based on descriptions it gets dragged out till the finale. Cookie isn't stupid, but she is stubborn and she would def let her stubborness blind her.

but if Lucious finds out and if Hakeem however dislikes him, they will try to make her realize that he's the bad guy... well unless he changes because he falls in love (I think Tia mentioned it) that would be nice but then again, I'm Lucious/Cookie trash so

Like you said, it's not only Empire but compared to other shows I watch, Empire is BETTER, they are doing better than some others shows so I wouldn't give up just yet
