I felt a bit differently about Suicide Squad.

It was too dark for my taste but they played supervillains pretty well!

really i thought it was a light take on them especially for DC which are generally darker

It depends on what DC movie though. Superman, for example, just changed darker with Batman V. Superman. The original movies, Superman Returns, and Man of Steel were not dark at all, and who Superman really is/should be. Batman was always pretty dark due to his upbringing, witnessing both parents get shot before his eyes. Maybe you are right and I just have avoided the dark superheroes.

I see all of the TV shows and in the realm of TV shows, Marvel TV shows have been darker than DC TV shows.
