I would've loved to see Aurora confront Hook about taking her heart with a knife in hand.

Doubt it. The writers don't care enough about her. They had plenty of chances for her to confront Hook and it never happened.

That's true I suppose.

It would fit into Hook's current arc of facing up to the things he's done, but Aurora is largely forgotten now. But with this show you never really know; I was surprised Ashley came back recently. For them to do it there would have to be a larger plot reason though.

I always wondered how Phillip came back to life.

Her step-mother and step-sister arrived from the the land of untold stories. Ashley felt guilty for having betrayed the confidence of her step-sister, and tried to put right her mistake. Ashley got stabbed by her step-mother, but managed to get her step-sister reunited with her boyfriend. The flashback was her Cinderella story in the past.
