EPISODE DISCUSSION 4x15 'Poor Unfortunate Soul' {AIRS: 22nd March, 2015} Hook leverages his complicated history with Ursula to find out what she knows about Gold’s endgame. Gold and the Queens of Darkness torture August for information about the Author as Emma, Mary Margaret and David race to find them. Regina grows concerned for Robin Hood’s safety while she struggles to maintain her cover with the villains. In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, when a restless young Ursula enlists Hook’s help to run away from home, she soon learns it isn’t wise to trust a pirate. |

Once again Colin has to play such a wide range of emotions in one episode! He was the pirate with a code, the ruthless, vengeful pirate, the redeemed hero, the hero struggling with his redemption and, of course, the leading man who is madly in love with our heroine!!! :love:

I agree! He is pretty incredible. The last few episodes have been all over the map and he's nailed his performance in each scene.

I loved this episode so much one of my favourites for Hook back story and how he was doing the decent thing but got blindsided by hatred and revenge and too it out on Ursula. I loved their scenes and how he made it up to her. :love:
Also loved the little reference to Elsa :D Of course I loved the Captain Swan scenes the last scene of the episode was perfection I can't stop watching it!! :thud: :in_love: I am also loving Regina the undercover spy :love: |

A&E really were selling this episode as seeing Hook at his worst and I think that proved that Hook always wanted to help people but he put his selfish need for vengeance first. Once he let go of that he was able to be a hero by doing things the right way.

TBH I think Hook season 2 was his worst

I really do like seeing bad boy Hook but this episode did really illustrate well that Hook is deep down a good man (that Navy man we saw) if not for the circumstances (Liam and Milah's deaths) that drove him to extreme hatred and revenge.
Continuing the theme of this season, we saw in Hook that evil wasn't born in him but made. |
I quite like the fact it wasn't born in him, because it wasn't born in regina either, her mother made her what she was.
