This was one of my favorites from season 4.

Is that Regina centric though not Henry? :thud: I thought Regina was the focus of that episode. Plus Henry wouldn't remember that.

It would be both. Whether a character remembers a flashbacks is negotiable on this show :lol:

And characters can have centrics without being in the flashbacks. Emma has had a few like that.

I don't remember any of this. I don't think the flashbacks would be character centric if they aren't in them. For me both flashback and modern day has to be about the character. For example Snow Falls is Snowing centric.

Love that gif set and I agree this is one of my favourite episodes getting more of Hook's history :love:

They are reallly taking their time rolling out his story. The slow build is maddening! :lol:

It was all those epsiodes we were left wondering what Hook had done to Ursula and we finally got something :lol:

I can't agree because I found The Apprentice to be very Hook centric but he wasn't in the flashback.

Great gifset!

I really hope 5A episodes are more like this one. Once's bread and butter are its character centric arcs. That's what made season one so great. Yeah, there was a plot too but a majority of season one episodes were character driven.

I feel like 4B, Once got away from that and focused more on what's going on with the plot rather than develop its core characters. Three of my favorite episodes from 4B were Poor Unfortunate Soul, Sympathy for the De Vil and Mother. Because all three had really great character building arcs.

Once seriously needs to get to writing this way.
