Collectible Card Games

There used to be a MTG thread around here somewhere and it disappear. So here's another thread, only it's expanded to include the other games as well.

I used to play LOTR when it first came out and I still have my cards, although I'll probably be trading/selling those soon. I was all about the hobbits and ringwraiths. I had a killer deck. LOL

My boys play YuGiOh (I think that's how you spell it.).

And I play Magic. Fifth Dawn has just come out. I'm waiting for my box to get here. But so far the cards are looking pretty good. I'm liking this expansion much better than Darksteel which I think is silly.

LOL Yeah, I introduced someone to Magic and she spent hundreds of dollars on cards in the first two weeks but I'm the only one she knows who plays and I'm moving.

Usually comic stores will have a Magic night where people can come and play and trade cards and stuff.

There was a store here that used to do that, but it's gone out of business. My son really misses it.

I tried to learn Magic, but it just didn't make much sense to me.

Well, I'm trying to get her to play Magic online where atleast she'll find someone else to play with. Who knows.

I'm still waiting for my box of 5th Dawn. I hope it gets here soon. I've got lots of proxies that I have to replace.

As to comic shop workers, they can be...annoying. But there are other people to play with. Usually you'll find someone who's decent and friendly.

I looked at that magic online site, it's way to big to download, it's like 658mbs to download..

I would like to play though, wonder how much it cost to buy a disc? which I'm sure they have..this would be something cool to play if somehow you could use the cards you already got at home..but I doubt you could..be too easy to cheat..

I don't know how much it is to play online. Sorry. I'm kind of looking into it. I think it would be interesting, especially since we're moving and only know 2 people who play where we are going to be living.

from what I've read it costs little to anything, I guess they make their money from selling cards to you, since you have to buy packs, boxs and stuff..

I wonder if the boxs and packs cost as much as they do in real life?

Josh, I can give you some reference articles and deck building and deck styles and even help you, if you want.

Online card trading games? I don't know.

I'd love to have them and of course any help at all would be welcome , so far I like the green theme deck the best..though I was thinking of doing a green/something not sure what..
