I think we're seeing an even bigger shift in the industry to get more women at the front line of video games. The new Tomb Raider series started a lot of it and then we have the new Battlefield game coming later this year. So many more, but just having those options will attract more gamers and look less of a "boys only" club that it was once labeled.

I'm kind of turned off the Assassins' Creed series, due to how Elise was treated in UNITY.

She and Arno deserved a happy ending, after the crap they went through. Plus, I agree with you that she should have been a playable character. Or, at least survived.

I loved Unity’s story. I didn’t touch any of the side stuff, but I thought the campaign was good.

I actually love UNITY

and the French Revolution story-line is really immersive.

But I think some of the controls (i.e. whistling people over) are better improved in SYNDICATE.

Also, like I said - Elise's ending was unjust.

She and Arno were just plagued with tragedy.
