It is. Their powers are related to fire and ice. Firestorm (Ronnie) has power over fire and heat. He also can alter the atomic structure of objects. While Killer Frost (Caitlin) has cryogenic ability and can fatally absorbs heat from living creatures. One of Killer Frost's trademark tactics was to create a block of ice around a target's feet securing them into place, and then kissing them, absorbing all of the heat from their body until they froze to death.

There were 3 Killer Frost in the comics. There was Dr. Lincoln, who seeked revenge on Firestorm because she thought he was responsible for her friend's death. The first one Crystal Frost was actually Firestorm's lover but then he became his target after a while.

Then there is Cailtin. While fighting him, Caitlin discovered that Firestorm's powers can temporarily heal her condition, and devoted her time to seeking and confronting him.

I love how Caitlin said she loved him more, their story is just beginning. Ronnie's coming back - and fire and ice are going to have a juicy journey.

They are setting it up beautifully!

It's a tv show so they probably will have some changes. Though Caitling did spend some time kissing Ronnie in the comics in order for her to "heal" her heat. So they might just keep that
