One of my friends had a car accident yesterday and she ended up in the hospital and surgery. I'm going to visit her later on. I really can't wait to see her. I just want to see for myself that she is okay considering the circumstances.

Kris , she lives in New Zealand with her family, has 2 children. Sometimes i am thinking about changing job, going from nursery nurse to supporter worker, i wouldn't mind to help young people.
Article 50 is the formal mechanism for leaving the European Union.
Hopefully you friend Kris will get better soon

I went to see my friend today again and she's getting better slowly. She's in a lot of pain but it's getting better.

My party weekend is over. I had so much fun. We had a really big walking event in my hometown.

Oh wow, Aga. So great you were there for her. And it's wonderful to hear she has a family and kids now! I think that story would give people a lot of hope. And all our life experiences I feel could help others, especially if we've personally experienced them. That's how I look at my past of getting bullied. I was able to overcome that time in my life. It's part of the reason I decided to study Special Education. To be an advocate for those special individuals and spread awareness/understanding.

For me, Miranda, I was bullied by several people. I was always at the counselor's office because I would tear up (I'm a sensitive person, couldn't help it, ha). But guess that made me even more of an 'easy target'. Beyond getting counseling for me personally at the school, action wasn't taken toward the bullies. So, the bullying didn't really stop. But I was made to feel like I needed to be stronger - like it was 'my problem'. Yeah Kris, this girl stepped on the heels of my shoes telling me to walk faster. I was afraid to use mechanical pencils because they make a clicking noise (when you need more lead) and my hand got slapped for making 'too much' noise. I was at the park with a friend one time and two boys from school came up and kicked me in the leg. I was also called names, teased because I was short and overweight at the time. My shortness was due to a lack of self-producing growth hormone we found out later. Went to a specialist and they put me on growth hormone shots for a year. Helped me grow a whole foot taller. But that's a whole different topic.

Oh no, Kris! Hope your friend continues to improve and heal.

What you went through Cece is a lot worse than what happened to me and I can't even comprehend how people can do such mean things to other people. I can't believe how alone you must have felt because everybody made it feel it was "your problem." That shouldn't have happened. They should have helped you. I am sorry this happened to you. but it seems as though you came out a lot stronger because of this but it still should have never happened. Don't they always say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger? I think that applies to all of us here.

Happy 4th of July to all of you American peeps!

I visited my friend today again. She today was allowed to use crutches for the first time. And they changed the bandages today for the first time, too. It looks that her leg now is filled with water. It looks the double of size than the healthy one Now she needs to do special exercises to hopefully reduce the amount of water... And she won't be allowed to leave the hospital as long as there is still water in her leg. Poor girl.

Cece, that's really horrible stories and somehow unbelievable that you were standing on the receiving end of it. I'm so happy that you came out of this time the person you are now, helping other people, special people to get through life and somehow prevent them from experiencing what you had to go through. I'm really proud of you. And yes, everybody who has experienced bullying I'm sure will never allowed that to happen to others.
You know, I'm a person that fairness really is important to. I would always, ALWAYS back up the weak people in every single situation. And I'll continue to live that way until the end of my days.

Miranda, tomorrow you'll be back at work, right? So your lazy week/weekend will be over. Time flies by... Crazy!
