I have never heard this and my dad was a WWII vet. We have a flag from His funeral. Although we didn't have the 21 gun salute. Anyway. I had no idea this was true. Totally ruins my plot idea. I have never seen it shown on tv either. I've seen the flag presentation but never them open it.

You know, I really have no clue about these kind of funerals but I really thought it could be possible that it happens like that or that for special military groups they put the three bullets in there. So when I heard you starting to plot about it, I had to google it.

And there it was right away today when I did.

So, why didn't Garvey go after Red when he knew the identity of the bones? What "truth" does he want to know? Why did Garvey say that Red did not know who he was?

Does Garvey know the identity of the bones? We don't know that do we? Or was the file Tom was reading in the duffle bag with the bones? If it was than he knows.

I wonder why Red doesn't want to know who Garvey is exactly and what he knows about Red that could possibly hurt him.

I think Garvey knows the identity. Red even said something to that effect. Garvey kept saying he wanted the whole truth. I think he wants to know why? Also he must be somehow connected to he past for him to want to know more.

So apparently Garvey is just like us. He wants to know The TBL story from start to finish.

But I actually was glad they wrote this in because I've been saying that it made no sense for Garvey to have the bones over s year and not go after Red. I'm glad to see the writers are going to address that.

How comes that a dirty cop (aka Garvey) wants the whole truth about the suitcase?

I think Red needs the arsonist for more than that. But I guess you could always add more if that turns out to be right.
