Well it can be both so we never really know. In early seasons there was a scene with Mer and Ellis where Ellis told her "He doesnt love her. He cant. But he'll stay with her anyway. She's his wife. "

^ Yup, she was talking about Richard but it applied to MerDer too.
I can see them paralleling MerDer and Richard/Ellis again. |

If my theory is right, then they're still dealing with D.C. in 11x4. I wonder if this is Meredith's patient too, then? I could see her being on more than one case (well, wouldn't that be a nice change?) It could be Maggie's patient...I keep forgetting about her.

It's a heavy advil for MerDer since they are dealing with the same situation, of course the sides can change it somehow so not to give it away 100 percent.. it could be Ellis/Richard VS MD situation, like you mentioned they dealt with similar issues in the past.
Oh, if only.. if this big scene/situation lead in to their centric in episode 5. |

I wonder if it's a flashback how it come up... it could be really Ellis/Richard but than again their ending was in the s3 flashback.. I think that's the last time they saw each other.
I think Ellen was on set, since the question was about Ellen/Patrick being on set, and the reply was about Patrick who wasn't. Hope he is today, and he's working with Ellen. Wish we'll get a tweet or anything. SOMETHING. |
