I really think something will happen to Derek's mom...I just can feel it in my bones, I mean, especially now that Derek's sister is going to be living in Seattle...it's just bound to happen.

It's what One Tree Hill did when Haley's sister joined the cast as a regular, so it definitely wouldn't take me by surprise, especially if they're going to take more inspiration from Patrick's own life...

I want it to happen tbh. Those episodes when they are so worried and scared, and it showed that they can't live without each other are my favourites. And Ellen and Patrick always knock it out of the park. [I CAN'T WAIT FOR US TO HEAR ABOUT ANY NEWS ABOUT THEIR CENTRIC btw] I think it will happen early on in the season..

J and I talked about it before Patrick's mom died, and if they do take inspirations from the actors life.. it can happen.. it will be heartbreaking, but Patrick will be BRILLIANT.

I do want some serious angst. It's been so long since they've had major angst (season 8). It's needed. I hope the writers really give this storyline focus, because it's time the show's core couple get a front and center storyline.

I think Derek's mom dying/getting sick would be a compelling storyline to work with, and it could really explore Derek's character and it'd be extra interesting with Amelia around, since she hasn't been near their mom either. She would probably harbor some of her own guilt (especially because of the drugs...it could even trigger a relapse with Amelia...)

Yeah, it's about time for some angst.. not a little fight that solved quickly, they can do so much with this... especially now Crowen and their angst is gone thank god, they only have this as angst for a couple, so I can see them milking this. Bring it I say!! We need focus on the show, and in the media.

Yeah, Japril and Calzona just have baby storylines, and I don't know what they're doing with Jolex at the moment. MerDer are the only ones with an actual storyline right now.
