It is a tradition on my board too and the ones I have seen too. Also it is for the people who aren't really good at doing arts but still want to participate!

I've done two in the years I've been here - one for HSM and one for V's Million quite often it was just the Mods who wrote something for V's and then we'd write something in the thread after it was posted

We PM something to the person who's making the celebration and then we submit a testimonial on let's say 'why we love Tom' or something. Like here in Dylan's 10k thread.

We always write short little testimonials about why we love the board or the actors. Our Avengers celebration posts are short on testimonials and long on graphics since we have very few members. It's just arts galore.

I think Fran organized one once and I did the rest. We've only done like 4 celebrations though. That board is just over a year old.
