Does a twitter for the board help? I know of boards that do it but even though they have more visits it doesn't help with the posting.

We can try with a Twitter account for the board, but I have had the same experience - it increases the visits, but it's rare that someone joins, seeing as they can access the pages and information without needing an account, anyway.
That said, no harm in trying! You never know, we have nothing to lose. It might he helpful in case is down, too, I don't know.

We could move the discussion about this to the Planning Thread or the Board Guide.

A twitter isn't for other people, it's for the members? I think you're all confused. It's not to get more posts or to draw the public in, it's for our benefit and if others decide to join then that's the benefit!

You create a FF Twitter to post new things about the forum, like new survivors, celebrations etc. It's also handy for getting in contact for members.

It's NOT for advertising.
