Also I was totally out of it but when I watched the cave scene where Bash reads that rhyme I assumed that Pascal was the Darkness himself.

If the Darkness hadn't dragged Rowan away, maybe. After all Pascal had the Darkness whistle.

Well he may have been a close help though, the Darkness did tell him "offer [Kenna's] blood to the Gods", as if he knew how to do it!

But really, will they trust him his good nature just because he's a kid? Do they think they can do that? Do we think they should? Pascal must know the sacrifices would stop the plague.
