this Charles storyline is actually imo way more creepier and more interesting than some previous stories... like ghost Clarissa or other supernatural elements...

Maybe it's better because Spencer knocked that scene out of the park. He gave me tge creeps for sure.

I think this storyline is much more engaging than the supernatural storylines. More human. Plus, Spencer is making it all very believable (and extra creepy). He's doing an amazing job.

I don't think we will fully understand what he is actually doing until the situation starts to resolve itself.

He doesn't even really know what is happening. I agree. We will probably have to wait for the end of it to truly understand what is happening.

I think this is more scary because it's real, it's not supernatural or ghosts or seers or magic, it is something so real and so human, the breaking down of a human mind - it's not something so fantastical or unimaginable, people losing their minds is such a real thing that still happens every day in this world, sometimes in ways that we still can never fix - so watching Charles fall into this and just getting worse and worse is painfully realistic, watching someone who before was so strong and loving and kind deteriorate into this almost inhuman broken almost-dead thing, it breaks your heart.

And the worst part of it all is that it's not his fault. Sometimes things happen to the human mind and psyche that we just can't control, we just can't fix no matter how hard you try.
