I would be fine with killing off Francis as the series finale. Maybe one or two eps after that just to wrap up her time in France and get her back to Scotland. I don't think I would really like ghost Francis or seeing Mary's later life after Francis. I mean her time with Francis is suppose to be the happiest time of her life and Laurie has made it pretty dark and miserable for her. If this is how she write Mary's happy times, can you imagine what she would do with the times where Mary was actually miserable?

yea I was fine with the show going to scotland before the start of season 2. If season 2 was happy frary, then I could live with them killing francis at the end of season 2 or mid season 3. But killing off francis at the end of season 2 after having frary separated and miserable most of the season would be just cruel IMO
Plus I just can't imagine watching mary more miserable than she already is. |

My hope has always been that the series end with Francis' death. 1) I have never been interested in the show going to Scotland and seeing the misery that transpired in Mary's life after Francis' death. 2) I just can't imagine the show without Francis (and Toby), and the other casting changes that would transpire with a move to Scotland would likely make the show unrecognizable. As Amy said, I would be fine with the show taking an episode or two to wrap things up and get Mary to Scotland after Francis' death. Perhaps even a flashforward to her execution, so we can get a glipse of Frary's afterlife together in some shape or form. One thing I know for sure is that I'm grateful for the extra time a third season provides. I'm going to need to prepare myself. And Frary deserves proper closure. Quote:

There were fans on set yesterday and one of them tweeted this ADORABLE picture of our King! It isn't spoilery he is in regular clothes so I figured it was probably fine to post it.
