I'm sure he hugged her later, Issi.

I adored the mother/son conversation at Henry's sarcophagus. Catherine encouraging Francis to not distance himself from his child, and telling him how happy being a father would make him. Very sweet moment.
And yes, I'm sure he hugged her later. She was so relieved and happy that he returned safely, that she threw a celebration. It will be very interesting to see how she reacts to the news that the prophecy may be back in play.... __________________

I wanted a hug too but the scene we had of them talking about the baby was really sweet although all the talks about heirs and babies are kinda depressing since we know Francis and Mary will never have a child

I know I've said it a hundred times already, but I'm so glad they replaced the deleted scene about the prophecy from s1 with this one. That scene made Catherine look so bad, and unCatherine-like. I like that this one was more vague-- even if power is her main concern, it isn't brought up so we'll never know. Instead, her visible reaction can be interpreted as fear of Francis' life.

I know, I know. Even if Catherine is focused on the power aspect of everything, I'm sure she doesn't really want to lose Francis. I'm sure she's just trying not to think about that part, the same way we are.
