Exactly, her heart didn't leave him, just her body. I can't watch that scene and not feel absolutely horrible for her. She's leaving behind so much of herself with him, hopes, dreams, happiness. If I didn't believe 100% she did what she did because she can't imagine a world where he doesn't exist and that that thought just kills her I wouldn't bother.

We all know that kiss looks very bad for Mary because she did declare her love for Francis to pretty much everyone, but I think we spoke of how good Mary is a compartmentalizing, it was in the couples thread, I in no way justify her kissing Bash but she doesn't think she'll ever see Francis again, she's hurting and people do stupid things while heartbroken *look for comfort in someone else's arms* is the most cliched one.

We still don't know the context of the kiss so I don't think it's fair to judge her for it yet.

I just think if Mary said "wait for me" it would have made more sense with her leaving. Instead of it being the other way around. How is that confusing?
