It would have been worse if she actually married Pike. I think even then she would have eventually realized what a mistake it was.

I wonder how things might have been different if Lisbon actually married that old boyfriend of hers. I don't imagine she would have cheated on her husband - and what if Jane fell in love with her anyway - but knew it was hopeless because she was married?

On the other hand, there's a reason she broke it off with him. If she'd married him, chances are good that reason would still have been there - and might have caused her to eventually divorce him. If that happened after Jane started working at CBI, he might have thought it had something to do with him. Might have encouraged him to act sooner. Although, given this was TV, more than likely there would have been a scene with him telling Lisbon not to ruin her marriage because of him.

I see she was in one episode of the Netflix series "Insatiable" (Season 1 Episode 3). The series is apparently about a beauty pageant coach who apparently has a teenage nightmare for a client. If Robin isn't enough reason to watch, there's an actor in the same episode whose name is Remington Steele.
