One thing I love about their story is that they helped each other heal from the issues and traumas of their respective pasts.
Jane, of course, is pretty obvious. He needed to heal from the murder of his wife and child as well as from his hatred of Red John and what that led to. Lisbon is a bit less obvious, but I think she also needed to heal. I think that growing up in a family of men, yet not being able to find a good man to share her life with, left her with scars. Jane helped her to boost her sense of self worth. __________________
