I think Lisbon was trying to prove something to herself. As far as we know, she didn't date any one while she was in Oregon - or really anyone since Mashburn.

I think she wanted to find out if she could have feelings for someone who wasn't Jane.

I think Lisbon knew long before Blue Bird that Pike wasn't really right for her - but she had concluded that Jane was never going to admit to his own feelings.

Yeah she wasn't in love. She just liked him and liked that he actually told her how he felt about her unlike Jane. She was tired of waiting on Jane (even though, to be fair, she hadn't make a move on Jane either).

True. We have to put equal blame for the lack of movement in the Jisbon relationship on both parties. In fact, it might have been fun to see her walk up to him one day and say:

"Look. Red John is dead. You aren't hiding from the FBI anymore. There's nothing standing in our way!"

... and then she could plant a big one on him.
