I think it's VA. Because it's so focused on their friendship in a way that the other books aren't. We really get to see how close they are in VA.

That's true, some of the other books they are focused on different things in their lives.

yes because we already knew how important they were for each other, so VA was the book for them

It was. When I first started reading VA the first time, I felt their relationship was very erotic

It shows that this series is just focused on a love story or triangle.. but really the friendship between these two girls. It's so much better.

yes. The core of the series is the friendship between Rose and Lissa, and that's what makes it so unique.

It is, it's what Daniel Waters says here in his interview.

Just watched the movie again.
And he's right-their relationship is what the major focus was. The movie studio didn't GET what they had, didn't advertise it right, didn't do anything right really. Because of what they went through (the car crash-Lissa saving Rose-literally bringing both of them back from the dead), they are closer than sisters, really. That kind of love is rare. |

Yeah. The studio didn't seem to get it, strangely. They should have been forced to read the book

Exactly If they had realized the true story and the meaning behind it, then they could have promoted it accordingly, but no, they focused on what they thought it was, or should be about.
It's none of the people's fault. It's not the movie itself, but the studio. |

agreed. they should have just focused on what they had, and not on what they didn't have. It just doesn't make sense because what they did have was amazing
