That is really cool, Petra! I have the dvd sets, but it's a pain to load the blu-ray player and go through selections, etc.
Your way would be so much more efficient.

I never watch the episodes on my cell phone. I usually watch them on my TV. If push comes to shove, sometimes, I watch them on my laptop. Very rarely on my iPad either.

I used to re-watch a lot on my PC when the episodes were on Hulu, but now Amazon has exclusive rights to the older ones and I don't subscribe to them. I hate Amazon.

The NBC site does have the 5 most recent episodes, though, so I have to be sure to re-watch there before they rotate out. And then wait for the DVD.

My son loves the show, too, so on Friday nights we always watch together on the big TV.

My parents just doesn't like to waste money on cable

and that extra money from it can go towards something else. Plus, no one I home much. Only in the afternoon and everyone is usually a sleep and same thing when we come home at night. It's straight to bed if your not eating.

I see. A lot of shows you watch are on broadcast (network) tv, though, and you don't have to have cable for that.
Or of course, now you can stream to the TV from the devices.

But of course, if no one is home to watch it, having one would be a waste.

No, the networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, etc.) broadcast over the public airwaves, which belong to us all. They make money by airing endless commercials.

You'd have to have an antenna on the TV and you may not get very good reception depending on your location, but it's free.

I think when I was at school one of the rooms I rented did that cause majority of the channels were static except for CBS or NBC and that was how I got hooked on the CSI shows and Law and Order

That would be it exactly.

Years go, before the days of Cable, every house had a big antenna on the roof to pick up the broadcasts.
You can still buy small antennas for inside and some TVs (especially the smaller ones) still come equipped with them.
