Funny story, well at least I think it's funny.

I have horrible teeth, I think it's half genes and half because I'm addicted to sugar. And have several root canals. I had a tooth that was starting to hurt and I planned to call the dentist on Monday and set up an appointment for a cleaning and check up. Since it's been a while since I had been for a cleaning. I had been putting it off to get checked out since it wasn't that painful and I had other things on my plate. So it was on the low end of priorities.

A few days ago I tried a sample at the deli in the grocery store that I work and I felt a crunch and pain. When I got to the back to look in a mirror, I found that a part of my tooth had broken off.

I'm guessing it was the tooth that was giving me issues, at least I'm hoping it's the same one and I don't have two bad teeth to contend with.

I just think it's funny that I was all set to make an appointment and get things fixed and life took the bull by the horn and forced the issue. It's like that quote, "Life is what happens when your making other plans."

Thankfully it doesn't hurt that much, just some sensitivity. And I have been chewing soft foods on my other side. I'm hoping it's just a root canal and a crown. And they don't have to pull the whole thing out.

Call them the day it happened. Though the earliest I could get in is the 11th. Thankfully I'm not in great pain. I'm more fearful of the bill than an infection.

do you have any sensodyne toothpaste? that usually what the dentists recommends for people with sensitive teeth

No I've been swishing my mouth with lukewarm salt water to help kill any badness and help with the pain until next Monday.

HI all. How is everyone today?

Went to dentist yesterday, apparently my fillings had cracked and it was only a matter of time before my tooth would had broken. So I had to get a lot done and put some temporary crowns put on. And it's expensive, but thankfully not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. I'm just glad it's fixed, even if it's painful at the moment. That's what ice packs are for.
