okay that's an excuse

what i also liked about 4x01 was that the Tywin/Jaime scene starts out so touching (relatively speaking, on the GOT scale) and then ends so bitter and cutting. Tywin's end is near. also purple wedding!

Jon's reminiscing about Robb is making me tear up...

and the necklace-choosing feels like such a throwaway scene, but when you know what Olenna is really up to

Dany's insistence on seeing the faces of all the crucified (?) victims... there's a power and a grace in giving them respect. it's a small thing, but it feels important to do.

and last but not least it's such a small piece of happiness, for Arya to be reunited with Needle.

This episode was tough for Jaime. He's finally back home but has a bad interaction with his father. He refuses to go to Casterly Rock to stay with Cercei and his kids, but then Cercei blames him for his own capture and is cold towards him. And then his son Joffery is a dick towards him. All this for a guy who lost his sword hand, when his entire life he has defined himself as a fighter. And if he dies next season, he will likely die doing heroic thing.

Arya...It's also sad too, seeing her slow descent into become a master assassin. Her drive and passion and source of happiness becomes the murder of her enemies.

Also very well said to Dany. Also the flower scene, it's so cute to see Dany giggle like a real teenager over a guy giving her pretty things.

also Shae..was about time.

yeah it's pretty sad for Arya. she changed so much. then again everyone did.

I don't know the book version, but I really liked the character somehow, Pedro was good in it. It just made me really angry it all ended with his head all over the place...he deserved a better ending.

I'm glad pedro got the lead role in the new Star Wars show The Mandalorian. He plays the mandalorian.
