I shipped them in season 1 randomly cause I thought they are both outcasts in the other end of the world and one day they need to meet. Then season through season I saw their development and their parallels and the ice and fire thing. Then I knew they will meet and end up romantically and I shipped them romantically and not just randomly.

I had some kind of a feeling too that they would end up together. In the end it was no big surprise they became canon but still nice it's official now

Agreed that it's nice to be cannon. I knew they'd get together at some point, but I didn't really care much about it until I saw them interact on the show. Watching their scenes together, knowing they are both two people who have been through stuff most can't relate to, really made me like this pairing.
