So I think Jon is a secret Targaryen. Tyrion's affection to the dragons doesn't necessarily mean he is a Targaryen.

And the theory that he is Aerys' bastard has a pretty big hole, it is never even hinted in the books.

But fans deduce it from seemingly unrelated facts, like Aerys desiring Joanna, Tywin hating Tyrion and Tyrion having a special conncetion to dragons

i think it's more likely that Jon is a Targaryen. Tyrion just made a very good connection with the dragons, doesn't mean he is a Targaryen. besides Missandei also said she was around the dragons many time and i assume she has a good relationship to them.

R+L=J seems very logical.

First of all thanks for the new thread. Good chosen title. I immediately thought of Jon when I come here and now reading all over the internet that Tyrion might be a secret Targaryen. I personally never thought of this theory to be true and still don't think it is. Yes Tyrion was able to "tame" the dragons so easily but not because he is a Targaryen but more because he is a clever and sensitive man.

Jon on the other hand, I am very convinced he is the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar especially since we saw Lyanna in the flashback now.

Or the dragons "sensed" he is a Targaryen hence they allowed him close to him?

Tyrion asked Missandei if they dragons ever harmed her and she said no. the dragons can be around people that are not Targaryens.

It is a possibility of course, but as i sad earlier. There is a pretty big hole in the theory

The Missandei/Tyrion scene said it all. The dragons either choose to like you or eat you. Maybe they knew he was there to free them. The other one moved his neck to allow Tyrion to unlock the chains.
Anyways, I don't think Tyrion is a Targaryen.

I'm not as informed as you guys. Barely reading any GOT stuff except of this board and I just watch the episode and that's it. I think it would be nice if Tyrion is a Targaryen but your arguments sound more solid than mine
