Also a possibility, there is a lot. But first we get the first men prequel.

What I like is that GRRM is one of the writers of the prequel. So nobody can say it's just some tv show loosely based on some of george's ideas, it will be actually his vision of that time, in parts at least.

yes, it's a good thing he is on board with the sequels too. about the new show runners, well we will see how they will handle the spin offs.

The showrunner is a woman. GRRM is also creative consultant for the show. I think they will do a good job.

Given the show has several black characters i assume we will also see a lot of the peple of Essos and not just westeros at that time.

I thought so too, but it's established in the got canon that people with darker skin colour come from essos, while those with lighter skin colour come from westeros. So i assume we either see both places or we will see a place in westeros where many poeple from essos live and work as well, like medics or merchants. Porbably in a coastal city.
